Christians Against Domestic Abuse

Welcome to the 2022 No More 1 in 3 protest

This summer we had the delight of being able to work with sand artist Claire Eason to create the CADA North East logo and the Mothers’ Union No More 1 in 3.

We hope you like the finished product and thank you for supporting the CADA and Mother’s Union call to end violence against women.

If you’re looking for the 16 Days of Prayer videos, you’ll find them in ‘Events’ - top right of this screen.

Special thanks to Clair Eason for her sand art; for her skills in creating the massive logo and text, for involving so many of us and for her support of this protest. To see more of her stuff please her website: https://soul2sand.co.uk/

The Music. The music we have used for the sand art video is an instrumental version of Eagle’s Wings. Here’s a version with words: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhxIOaM8gAU

It is the idea of God protecting us under his wings and of us rising up on eagle’s wings that prompted the CADA logo.

We Need Your Help!

CADA North East is a very small organisation working in partnership with Restored, Mothers’ Union and Newcastle City Council to make an impact in the North East in the area of domestic abuse within the Church. Our aim is to educate churches through events like conferences, workshops, exhibitions and online events, and through offering training to churches, ultimately, with a view to offering practical support for victims. There is an enormous amount of work to be done and so we are appealing for people to step forward and offer help as volunteers. We need people with organisational / management skills, fund-raising experience, financial management know-how, a variety of tech skills, curating skills, and any artistic input is welcome. The time commitment is likely to be very small but some tasks will require more time leading up to or during events. If you have skills, experience, knowledge, talents, a passion that could contribute to educating churches in a multitude of ways, please contact us.

If you have any of these skills and could help out - CADA North East needs you! Use the Contact button at the top right of this screen and we’d love to hear from you!
